Did you know that one of the most interesting beauty hacks for used coffee grounds is to DIY your natural scrub at home? Well, Duhhh who doesn’t, you might think, but do you add the right ingredients to it? 

It makes an excellent and gentle facial exfoliant that effectively slough off dead skin cells to reveal the fresh, healthy-looking skin underneath. To make it, you will need the following:

  • 4 tbsp coconut oil or any other oil of your choice.
  • 6 tbsp very finely used ground coffee.
  • Optional: a few drops of tea tree oil or favorite essential oil.

Mix everything together and gently exfoliate your skin in circular motions.  Rinse off and moisturize. 

Add shine to darker hair

Need some interesting ways to reuse your coffee grounds? here me out! Whether you are a brunette or a darker redhead, rinsing your hair with strong, cool coffee can give you the shine you’ve always wanted while also improving the health of your hair.

How can you use coffee grounds to make your hair shinier? Grab some and steep them in 2 cups of hot water. Let it cool for 15 minutes and then use it to rinse your hair!

Used coffee grounds to combat cellulite

Yes, I know. Getting rid of cellulite forever might not be possible but this doesn’t mean you can never take control and reduce their visibility. Let’s admit it.

Genetics can play a great role here, but surprisingly coffee grounds can work on enhancing fat metabolism, increasing circulation, and therefore, possibly reducing the appearance of cellulite. Besides, the exfoliating properties of coffee grounds can improve your skin and make it softer and smooth!

So what do you need to make this homemade scrub: 

  • 1 cup coffee grounds
  • 1/2 cup white or brown sugar
  • 1 cup coconut oil

Mix all the ingredients together, then apply the mixture to clean and wet skin. Scrub gently using circular motions and then rinse with warm water.

What you’re going to need is:

  • 1 tbsp of coffee grounds
  • Drops of your favorite facial oil
  • A small bowl

Mix all together and slather the mask in your face, leave for 15 minutes, and then rinse with cold water.  

Ta-da! Your face will look bright, soft, and glowing.
